Set behind a sleek grid of stainless steel panels, the AI 400 s full-width mesh filter quietly and efficiently removes grease as it ushers cooking vapors out of the kitchen. By utilizing a single large filter behind several smaller cover panes, Gaggenau s rim ventilation has a 25 percent higher grease absorption rate (90 - 95 percent) than common rim extraction hoods and makes less noise during operation. Optimized edge design between the panels and the filter reduces the condensation of vapors and guarantees a high rate of air extraction. The AI 400 is also available as a wall mounted hood (AW 400).
