Works like all my kitchenaid ovens good, dependable for the last 30 plus years
Range review

We bought this range to go with the other KitchenAid appliances we put in our new home. We wanted them to match, the reviews and research said they were good. I've had good luck with my mixer and other small appliances in the past. The pro's of this range: the stainless top...now we can scrub it without damaging any porcelain pieces. The grill top is heavy and sturdy. The cons- it cooks way too hot, so every burner we use on Low, unless we are trying to boil something in a large pot quickly. And the unit itself gets hot to the touch. We have older kids, so this isn't as big of a safety concern for us since they know better.
It won't clean!!!

The self cleaning feature on this oven is the WORST I have ever experienced. It's called AquaLift. The problem is that it doesn't lift anything. It allegedly cleans your oven in 40 minutes at 200 degrees, instead of the traditional 800 degrees in 8 hours. It does practically nothing. i opened my oven door and it looked almost the same. After doing a Google search on AquaLift, I've found numerous complaints on this inferior technology. Also, this oven does not heat properly. It takes longer to cook everything.
Great range ....except for......

Part of a "suite" bought for a kitchen remodel. Does what a range should do - cook and bake. Would be outstanding except for one GLARING design flaw. The cooking grids on the top of the stove, the flame diffusers and the material they are made from - it's VERY abrasive. Consequently, it's almost impossible to move or remove them without scratching the stainless stove top. We had it less than a week and noticed tiny little scratches at the back of the cooktop. The cooking grids are designed to interlock - should be a great feature, right? BUT you have to tilt and move them to get them unlock and/or interlock - it's very awkward. I'm sure KA views this as a great feature - solid grids, etc. etc. - OK - but when you have to remove them to clean the stove top - YIKES!! And they're heavy - my wife is short and struggles with them - I'm tall and it's a challenge for me to move them without scratching the back of the stovetop where the grids are supposed to "rest" in little indentations. This must have been designed by someone who never cooks - because you can't use a stovetop and keep it clean without removing these stupid cooking grids. Other than that - it does what a range should do - efficiently.
really nice amchine but concern over time to get replacement

Strange, but service man said he would recommend a different brand if he were to upgrade his kitchen. Said it took too long to get replacement parts, up to 4 months
