This oven is very easy to use. I really like the programming options and the way it communicates with you to tell you it is preheating or cooling down. It also preheats rapidly.

Nice Oven But...

The oven seems to do a very nice job cooking. Only have used it a few weeks but provide even heat without any noticeable hot spots. Like the large window in the door. One very strange 'feature' is the door side dose not have a rap-a-round molding. The stainless steel front cover just goes to the edge of the door and does not rap around the edge. Thus, there is a sharp edge that can cut you if you are not careful. Also, we had a KitchenAid warming draw installed below the oven. The drawer front has a rap-around stainless steel front. Unfortunately, the oven and warming drawer do not provide a uniform aesthetics - strange! Also, while the oven is in use and during cool down it puts out a tremendous amount of heat through the bottom vent. With a warming drawer install below the oven the drawer handle get VERY hot to the touch. Disappointed the say the least.

Model Number KOSE500ESS01 KitchenAid 30" Single Wall Convection Oven is a total piece of junk!!! As I write this, I am currently on hold for warranty repair waiting for parts to be shipped from the factory, leaving me without an oven for over a month! We moved into a newly constructed home in a rural Colorado mountain community in April, and my kitchen is completely equipped with KitchenAid appliances - range top, dishwasher, microwave. The oven has only been used a handful of times. About three weeks ago, I attempted to turn the oven on and started receiving an error message related to my temperature probe and which would not allow me to cook. Research on the internet indicates this to be a well known issue, but nonetheless I contacted the KitchenAid Customer Experience Center who set up a warranty service call. Last Friday (August 18) a repair technician came out and checked my oven, only to inform me that a control board and some other parts were necessary to complete my repair and apologized stating that he has been seeing quite a few faulty convection ovens right out of the manufacturer's box. He phoned his office to place an order for the necessary parts and said it would probably be only a few days until the parts were received and he would be able to come back to finish the repair. This morning I received a phone call from the Warranty Appliance Repair shop apologizing because while one of the parts was already in transit, some of the others had to be ordered from the KitchenAid factory and would take approximately 10 days to receive, and then a return service appointment could be scheduled. I'm sorry, but this is absolutely and totally unacceptable for me to be without any way to cook for what will be a month when the parts finally come in! I am certain someone in authority at KitchenAid has the ability to expedite whatever parts are necessary and get them to the repair shop OVERNIGHT!l NEVER buy KitchenAid again based on this experience!

I am so glad that I decided to upgrade to a 3 tiered tray oven as it is adding the efficiency of your baking, especially when you have 5 hungry kids in the house waiting for the cookies!
