my husband really likes samsung and when we purchased our last tv (un55mu6290 fxza) for a good price at target, we were excited. it went well until we needed to use smart features, it was incompatible with programs we wanted. we kept up with all upgrades but the began losing volume, it currently only has one volume and if you mute the volume it wont come back on. you have to shut it off and turn on again. annoying. now we want a smart tv that actually is smart but don't know if we can trust the quality of samsung.

initially, this tv was great.. but after about a year, it started having periodic connection issues. most of the time, it would just take a little while to connect on it’s own, but if not, it was supper easy to just reconnect. now, everytime, i turn my tv on, it will not connect. the only thing that i’ve found that works is unplugging it from the wall. when i plug it back in and turn the tv on, it works.. but i have to do that process every time i go to watch tv. i’ve tried resetting the tv but that did nothing for the connectivity. the picture quality and sound are excellent with this tv, however; the connection issues are a big problem with this tv. if you are looking for longevity, consider other options.

Within one and half year my TV became bad, it was always restarting. Technician mentioned that the screen has some issues and I need to change the whole screen.

This will be my last Samsung product I will purchase. just about a year and a half into owning it. I enjoyed it up until a purple spot started forming on the screen. Not the best or most expensive model, but I still feel it should last more than a year and half. My second poorly designed Samsung product. Assumed that Samsung would be safe... I now have to fairly expensive items (fridge/TV) that barely lasted almost two years before problems, and right after the warranty was over!
