We replaced an old KitchenAid with the same outside dimensions. Without the external ice dispenser the inside of the new fridge is so much bigger. We love it. The black stainless stays remarkably clean looking.

I bought this panel ready refrigerator expecting a high quality unit and the freezer is icing up and already needs service repair. It was repaired and a week later still having problems owned for less than a month and two service calls, very disappointed with this refrigerator.

The unit had minor cosmetic issues when delivered. It took two men two hours to get the unit in my house, when I called Kichten Aid they would send a technician out to replace the broken pieces. While I was on the phone with Kitchen Aid (almost a 1.5 hours phone call), I noticed the unit wasn’t cooling. They and the service that installed the unit told me it takes 12-24 hours for the unit to start cooling. Therefore, I accepted the delivery. Turns out I the until also has a defective compressor. Kitchen Aid will not replace the unit as it is a built in and the parts will take about one week to be delivered. This will be an additional two weeks before this unit will be functional. For an $8K refrigerator you expect the unit to work and when it doesn’t the company to make it right right away. I had to call their customer service, was bumped around and was on hold for almost 2 hours before I got this disappointing news. For the inconvenience they offered me - not a replacement refrigerator- but two water filters and to extend my warranty by six months. Hopefully that isn’t a sign that more problems are ahead. For a refrigerator this expensive you expect no problems and for them to correct them in good faith when issues to arise. To make matters worse, I cannot even return the products. Very disappointing.
