This ice maker was brought a few weeks ago and I am happy to have replaced the old one. The old ice maker was 11 years old and had stop cutting ice. This ice maker is more up to date and quiet. The staff have really enjoy the new machine.
Great ice but drawer is very low.

This unit replaces a previous Electrolux ice machine. We really like the new ice as it is smaller squares and not the bigger round cubes like the old machine. Makes a lot of ice and not noisy at all. However, the ice bin is very low in the unit so you have to really bend down to scoop the ice out. It's much lower than any ice machine we've ever owned and is an odd design. We are not sure we like that but overall it is a good machine.
Uses too much water and electricity.

Came with the house. Great ice but at what cost? The ice maker is always making ice as the ice melts way too fast. Uses lots of water and electricity. Creates lots of heat.
This is our third unit

Our first ice maker worked about 6 months. The entire time, the ice maker was extremely loud. So loud, I would turn it off when we had company. The unit finally quit producing ice and after eight service calls, four to diagnose and four to install parts ordered by the technician, the unit was finally approved for exchange. The replacement unit delivered and installed but it never cooled, so it never produced ice. A third unit was finally installed yesterday and so far, 24 hours later, I am happy to report the following; 1) the unit runs quietly, 2) the unit is producing ice. Pretty frustrating journey but I'm hopeful this one is a winner.
