GE is an institutional brand. I liked the appearance of the stove. The features on top are easy to read even without my glasses.

We purchased this stve because our Amana range began to suffer breakdowns: first, the oven wouldn't light, so I purchased a replacement electronic igniter and it worked fine for about a month when the temperatures began to fluctuate. The cost of repair was almost equal to the price we had paid so it was time to buy another stove. This stove is great! Heats up quickly and thoroughly. The extended burner grates makes it easy to place things on top of the stove and keep everything level.
