Low Profile microwave fits well under cabinet above stove. However, the timer sound is soo low you can't hear it when preparing other food in the kitchen; I find this to be a problem.

We purchased this microwave to replace a large, clunky one. It is mounted under cabinet, above our stove. Soon after installing the microwave I discovered a design flaw. The microwave has a sharp metal piece on the lower corner inside the door. Unfortunately the corner is located at the same height of my face. I opened the microwave to take a peek in and when closing the door scraped my cheek with the corner. I received a fair sized cut from the door. Unfortunately I got a second cut from the door when I was placing something in the microwave and turned my head to respond to a question, once again catching the sharp piece on my face and getting another cut. The obvious is to keep my face away from the opened door. I'm trying to get in the habit of keeping my hand on the door with my thumb covering the metal piece. I hope this design flaw is corrected before the next model is manufactured. I also hope Whirlpool engineers can come up with a retro-fitted solution to this issue that I could put on my microwave.

I had to replace my over the range microwave and needed to meet the specifications. It was an adjustment because it is smaller the meet the height requirement over the range. Once it was installed it is beautiful and works much better than the one I had to replace.
