We replaced a 1964 vent hood, to remove corners that projected into the kitchen, with cabinets and the JennAire microwave. Although pricey compared to others, the ability to enter any length of cooking time was the final reason for purchase.

Purchased Jenn Air because it had excellent lighting and better fan function. I had purchased a Kitchen Aid that was not convection and it did not draw from the front burners. Also the lighting was terrible. Lighting on Jenn Air is very good. However the fan is very loud,
