I have had three (3) KitchenAid appliances fail in the last 12 months ... the garbage disposal started leaking that almost electrocuted me when trying to determine what was leaking under the sink ... the countertop toaster oven started smoking & now the the lower heating elements are inoperative ... the full size oven had a bad control unit that since it was new intermittently would not thoroughly cook our food & make us sick that took us a couple years to figure out what was happening. We bought an entire kitchen package & half of the appliances have now failed.
so far, so good

my first disposal. we don't dump food waist down the disposal (we compost in Oregon). So the only food going down our drain is crumbs for the most part. We are using an air switch with it and all is well for now. happy not to have to empty a in sink strainer.
Works fantastic, and SO Quiet!

Bought this a month ago, and it is much quieter than my previous disposer. Very happy with it, and also my new KitchenAid dishwasher, which is also unbelievably quiet.
Quiet quiet quiet

Had a new house built, we had what they call a builder grade disposer, not only did it only last a few years it was loud, this new KitchenAid disposer not only displays better quality it’s very quiet, this will make a great addition to my kitchen, and aid me in my daily chores, thank you KitchenAid!!
