On the plus side, I like the configuration of the buttons on the bottom, allowing for a larger oven capacity. It runs quietly and the pre-programmed options are easy to use. On the minus side, the halogen underside light that illuminates your range is nice, but would be better if it were halogen. Replacing the charcoal filters every six months is not easy, as plastic molding piece that you must remove (unscrewing three screws, not two as instructed in the manual) is not particularly easy. The mysterious third screw that the manual didn't mention is down below the grill; I almost broke the molding because I tried to force the piece off after removing the two screws. An elderly person would have a tough time doing this. the pre-progammed options have a huge variability. for instance, the preset vegetable feature assumes you have 1-4 cups. In my opinion that's a very wide range; when cooking a cup for myself (I live alone), my vegetables are overcooked. My old Sharp microwave was better at this sort of stuff. Overall though I like it.

I replaced my old KitchenAid microwave with this new model and I am so happy with it. It is very quiet and efficient. The keys are laid out very smartly and it works like a charm.

It is a lovely looking GUTLESS WONDER

This microwave is very nice aesthetically; but beauty is only skin deep. From a utilitarian perspective, I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND it. (1) It is grossly underpowered (especially given its price point). It takes at least 3 minutes to get a mug of water hot enough to make tea; at least two minutes to melt a stick of butter. (2) If you install it at the recommended height, and boil a pot of water (like for pasta or making soup) the steam from the stovetop will collect on the front of the microwave while the exhaust fan is on its maximum setting. I don't mean a little bit of water, I mean coated in water and dripping.
