This monitor detects carbon monoxide and is designed to turn off the gas before any dangerous levels are reached in the room. It is also a good idea to have carbon monoxide sensors in your home as well to provide additional protection. Unvented gas logs can be installed in a fireplace or special fireboxes. The last consideration is the amount of moisture the logs create. Moisture is created from the combustion of the gas logs and can lead to condensation on windows.
