Refinements to the series include an HDCD decoder from Pacific Microsonics, an RS-232C serial port for operational control with third party controllers, and discrete on and off commands for system controllers. In addition, the DCM-390 is capable of playing back CD/CD-R/RW discs and employs WMA and MP3 decoders for expanded format listening.
